Between Sound and Image – Developing Artistic Competence through Art and Media
The project „Between Sound and Image – Developing Artistic Competence through Art and Media” marked an important stage in my artistic journey. Thanks to the support of the KPO for Culture programme, I was able to dedicate six months to intensive professional development, deepening both my musical practice and digital skills. This period was an opportunity for me to deepen my relationship with the instrument and my own artistic path, as well as to gain greater inner strength.
The project focused on three complementary areas of growth.
The first involved specialised courses in harpsichord restoration and regulation. Exploring the instrument „from the inside” – its construction, mechanics, sound, and historical aesthetics – significantly enriched my interpretative awareness. This deeper understanding strengthened the relationship between the physical nature of the instrument and musical expression.
At the same time, I developed my skills in audio and video production. Creating my own recordings has become not only a valuable artistic tool, but also an important part of my educational activity and communication with audiences.
An essential component of the project consisted of study visits to museums and cultural institutions, combined with participation in artistic events. Encountering historical instruments, manuscripts, and living musical heritage became a powerful source of inspiration and an impulse for further creative exploration.
The culmination of the scholarship was an open educational and cultural event, during which I presented the outcomes of the project – from practical work on the harpsichord, through original multimedia materials, to reflections from the study visits.
The project not only expanded my professional competencies, but also deepened my artistic identity and allowed me to share the experience I had gained with others.
The project was co-financed by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU fund under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
